Texas is known for a lot of things, but American Craft beer is NOT one of them. Sure there are a few quality breweries here and the scene is getting larger with many more opening up – especially in Austin! With that said, this week on Beer America TV, we try an excellent stout from the Southern Star Brewing Company in Conroe, Texas. Buried Hatchet Stout is extremely dark, but surprisingly is not heavy . It’s malty goodness in a can!! Special thanks to our friends at Rahr and Sons for allowing us to film yet another episode in their brewery.
