Coast Brewing: 32/50 Kölsch, Ep. 115

This week on Beer America TV we dive into a Kölsch – Coast Brewing Company’s 32/50 Kolsch that is! They describe it as soft on the palate with a delicate malt flavor. Balanced with a touch of wheat and honey notes, dry and wine like with a flowery hop finish. The Kölsch style is actually a hybrid – of what, you’ll have to watch to find out! Also, what does 32/50 stand for? The answer is pretty clever if you ask us!

As always, guys, a great show. I happened to try 32/50 as part of a taster set at Charleston’s Beer Works (thanks to them for opening their taps early for me). The cloudy wheat aspect was surprising. My favorite American Kolsh is the summer seasonal from your friends at Alaskan Brewing.
