Bell’s Brewery – Oberon, Ep. 73

As the summer starts to wind down, we wanted to share an American Craft beer for a warm sunny day, Oberon. Oberon is an American wheat ale brewed with Saaz hops. It’s spicy and fruity, but extremely well balanced. If you’ve not had beer from Bell’s Brewery, we suggest you give them a try. This is our 5th Bell’s beer that we’ve reviewed, and they’ve all been fantastic!

“David Big!” I resemble that remark.

Bell’s rules in Michigan! I’m hoping to get to Comstock and take a tour of the brewery with some friends in the next week or two.

  • Ryan Said,

Taco Mac got these beers once they came into Georgia. This beer is pretty good and took off very well.

On a side note…It was nice to meet John Pinkerton on my way back from Jacksonville up to the North Atlanta while stopping in at the Moon River Brewery. I drank the IPA and a Slo-vannah Pale Ale. I really like the beers you guys have. Can’t wait to try your Porter next time I am in town!

John, you used the term elegance to describe ‘Saaz’hops. Hmmm, not my choice especially since I am not a fan of Saaz Hops.

Not only is John the owner, he’s a client too.

Bells are a great beer. Of course, can’t wait for the next year release of Hopslam. Man those are tasty.

  • Paul Said,

I can’t stress enough what good beer Bell’s is brewing! I think they are such well balanced beers, that I have yet to have one I dislike. I’m sure I won’t love them all, but so far – pretty damn good stuff!!
