As a part of their Big Beer Series, Smuttynose Maibock is one that should be considered next time you’re in the local beer aisle. If you’re not familiar with the bock style, it’s basically a German strong lager. Big and malty, this beer is easy to drink and not “boozy” in any way. It’s also a beautiful color and crystal clear due to the lagering process . Maibock is brewed early and released in celebration of Spring.

Though Maibock is pretty darn tasty, I absolutely love their Wheat Wine which is also part of their Big Beer Series.
