Beer America TV heads to Maui for this weeks episode, well, not really, but we get a little taste of Maui Brewing Company and its CoCoNut Porter
. This is a special beer brewed with six varieties of malted barley, hops and hand-toasted coconut. It’s like drinking a porter while sitting on the beach – trust us, it works! Dow Scoggins of BeerInfo.com and the United States Beer Championship also joins this week and brings us the extremely hard to find Black Pearl!

Those are two great beers. Top 10 favorites. Both are awesome with ice cream. Thanks for the link to beerinfo.com too.

I love the Coconut porter. I had to bring some back with me last year. Of course I am out now so I think I’ll have to order me some more.
As for the Black Pearl, well I guess I’ll have to dream about that one. I don’t see me going to Hawaii any time soon.

I went to Maui a few Months ago and visited the MBC. They had over 12 beers on tap and the bar features a frost rail to keep your beer cold to the last drop. The CoCoNut porter was my favorite. The Black Pearl and Father Damien was a close second. I’m glad to see CoCoNut Porter available at BevMo, i will have to order some to bring me back to Maui. I visited there every day i was there (8days) to drink, eat or both. A must do if your ever in Maui! I will be making this Porter soon!
