This week our good friend Vince Becker brings a beer from Pleasantville, NY to our little corner of the world . Captain Lawrence Barrel Select American Sour Ale is just that, sour, but make no mistake, if you enjoy this style of beer, this one is for you! It’s full of flavor and tart for sure, with cherry/berry aromas with some oak barrel funk. Unfortunately it’s only available in a limited areas, but worth the trip if you can get your hands on some.

One of my favorite gems out of NY. Their Barleywine (Nor’ester) and Belgian Dubbel (St. Vincent Dubbel) are fantastic. The Brewing Network actually had a Sunday Session with Scott Vaccaro owner/brewmaster.
