The first beer produced for their “experimental series”, Allagash Interlude 2008 almost got dumped down the drain before it was finished . This Belgian style ale, as they put it, “pushes the limits of beer.” Aged in French Merlot and Sirah oak barrels, makes this beer a truly unique and bold tasting experience. In 2008 Beer America TV picked 2 Allagash beers as our best of the year, this one makes a strong running for a 2009 pick!

Q. You mention “In 2008 Beer America TV picked 2 Allagash beers as our best of the year, this one makes a strong running for a 2009 pick!” is the 2008 listed on this site? If so, where?

I had the 2008 back in 2009…and I picked up 2 more bottles this past December. I drank one of them in January and I’ve been saving the second for my birthday this August when it’ll be a full 4 years old. You thought it was delicious in 2009? MMmmmmm….
