The Fall brings out cooler weather, changing leaves, and of course, pumpkin beers. This week, its Pumpkinhead from the Shipyard Brewing Company in Maine. A wheat ale that has a hint of cinnamon and spice, Pumpkinhead is a bit sweeter then most of the other pumpkin beers we’ve reviewed, but like we say, try them all and find the one you like. They’re great for the season!

I love a good pumpkin beer like Paul. My favorite is Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin. When I had this beer last year I thought it tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie. That reminds me I need to go to the store to buy some!
Always enjoying!

I’ve never seen the Weyerbacher pumpkin in Georgia, but I’m moving to Ft Worth Texas soon, maybe I’ll see it there. I like the sweeter pumpkin beers, although I couldn’t drink to many of them.

Pink, don’t look so enthusiastic about another pumpkin brew.

Liquor store called “Smoke and Tobacco” (S&T) in Vinings (northwest Atlanta) had it last weekend. Pricey, and only for a four-pack if I recall correctly. It was pretty good but still would take Post Road Pumpkin Ale or Shipyard’s over it (Buffalo Bill’s is damn good too).
